Hi, I'm Amanda Knight .... and I'm a proud introverted leader!

It wasn't always that way. From being a quiet, shy, self-conscious child that followed me into my adulthood, I discovered ways to deeply value my introversion while being able to bring my full natural self, gifts and talents to my work as a senior leader and entrepreneur.

I have taken all of the learnings from my own journey and distilled these down into specific tools and practices to help you accelerate your own journey to rediscovering your true potential as a powerful leader.

These are all valid frustrations that introverted leaders have had or regularly experience, including myself!

Too many introverted leaders get overlooked for promotion.

We have grown up in a world that values the extroverted traits of charisma. This has led to the rewarding of unhealthy behaviours such as being a talker at the expense of listening, being able to raise your voice above and even railroad others, and rushing to decisions without too much thought and planning for the short term benefits driven by ‘just get it done’.
Introverted leaders do not operate like this.

As introverted leaders, we often force ourselves to be extroverted in work situations, which ends up feeling inauthentic, doesn't get the results we are looking for, and is absolutely exhausting.

This can lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy. We'll withdraw our energy, keep our thoughts, feelings and ideas to ourselves, and get labelled as quiet, reserved, unassertive, lacking in confidence, and ultimately not seen as true leadership potential.

This pigeon-holing leads us to be overlooked or not even considered for future promotions or career-enhancing opportunities.

Leveraging Your Unique Ability To Be Inclusive

Most leaders today need to be inclusive as well as strategic, able to lead from behind or from within, to elevate their teams through vision and insight, and by connecting with each team member at a personal level.

This is where you excel!

Introverts are often great listeners, demonstrating their leadership excellence through empathy, understanding, and a genuine interest in their colleagues' perspectives. Introverts also tend to be introspective and thoughtful, and often portray an aura of authenticity and sincerity, essential for quickly establishing trust and respect. In addition, introverted leaders are often calm and composed under pressure, which can be a powerful asset in challenging situations by staying focused and level-headed, and providing stability and guidance when it is most needed.

Program Outline

This powerful 4-month virtual program includes:

7 x 3.5 hour bi-weekly live virtual sessions via Zoom

SRQ 360 emotional intelligence-based assessment with a 1-hour personal debrief with Amanda

Workbooks for each module, ‘In the Moment’ quick guides, and career roadmap and learning plan

Ongoing access beyond the program to The Free-Spirited Introvert private membership group on a secure platform (not social media)

Transcripts and recordings of virtual and individual sessions

Optional individual coaching support - various options available at additional cost, subject to availability

As this program is built and facilitated by an introvert, the learning protocols will be introvert-friendly - no forced sharing, plenty of time to process, and deeply reflective work.

CANADA ALBERTA JOB GRANT: Alberta, Canada residents: the 7 x 3.5 hour live virtual sessions meet the requirements of the Canada Alberta Job Grant, and may be available in other provinces. Up to 2/3 of the cost of the virtual sessions may be reimbursed through this provincial grant.

ADDITIONAL COACHING SUPPORT: As well as support during the live virtual sessions and the online community, individual guidance is available. This support is subject to availability.

Albertan residents applying for the Canada Alberta Job Grant (or Canadian residents applying for the grant available in your province if available), please note:

  • you will need to attend all 7 live sessions to receive the full grant;
  • applications need to be received at least 30 business days in advance of the first training date;
  • receipt of the grant is subject to your employer's successful application for the grant.
